WC 1970 - held in Stockholm. In game 1 (4-2) , Sweden defeat the Sovjets for the first time in seven years - Tretjak makes his international debut at the age of 17, as he replaces an injured Victor Konovalenko during the game. Game no. 2 (1-3) was the clinching game of the tournament.
