Nihonto tameshigiri
I couldn't resist a few cuts before the final polish. Considering this is the traditional geometry the sword cuts pretty good,and there were just a few minor scratches on the surface polish after cutting. All in all, I'm very happy with this blade.

Tsukamaki: Thaitsuki 'nihonto' before rewrap
This is why tsukamaki should always have alternating cross-overs... I removed half of the tsukamaki by cutting only one cross-over. The end knot was drenched in epoxy glue so this was the only way to unwrap the handle.
